So, today Maine joined the growing ranks of states that believe in marriage equality. I couldn't be happier for them. We've had gay marriage in Boston for several years, and guess what: the sky hasn't fallen, and straight marriages have not fallen apart. But, I suppose there's no reasoning with some people.
I really want to find that place in the Bible where Jesus condemns homosexuality as a sin. I'm sure it's buried in there somewhere amongst his teachings regarding loving our neighbor, treating all of mankind like brothers, and taking care of the less fortunate.
I really haven't updated this thing in a while. I've been so pre-occupied. I finished my law school applications, finally. Now, I just have to wait and see if I get in. I only ended up applying to the New England School of Law. I just liked what they have to offer their part-time students, and I like their track record when it comes to job placement for graduates. All I want to do is finish law school, and devote the rest of my life to public service. The indigent get shit on every day. I just want to be the one part of "the system" that works for the people who have lost their faith in it. I know that's idealistic, but I don't think it's naive. Someone needs to do it, and I am taking the initiative to be one of the folks who's trying his best to make his little corner of the world a better place. Wish me luck.

Good Luck! And idealistic or not, someone does need to step the hell up and make an effort. I think you are going to be wonderful at it!
